The programme includes a significant increase in insurance coverage and health checkups for over 11,500 employees, alongside new reward schemes such as an attendance bonus.
India-based express logistics provider, DTDC Express, has introduced a new initiative to support its operational staff and delivery associates during the Diwali festive season. The programme focuses on enhancing financial security, health and wellness, and offering rewards to employees.
A notable aspect of the initiative is a 400% increase in group accident insurance coverage. This enhancement aims to provide better financial protection for employees and their families, especially during the high-risk, festive period.
The company is also implementing a health and eye check-up programme for more than 11,500 employees, with health camps being set up at all branch locations to facilitate proactive health management among staff.
To further acknowledge the dedication of its employees during Diwali, DTDC has rolled out several reward schemes including an annual bonus, a performance-based delivery incentive programme, and an attendance bonus. Additionally, a biker referral scheme has been launched to assist in the recruitment of new delivery associates.
Subhasish Chakraborty, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of DTDC Express, reiterated the company's commitment to ensuring employees feel secure, recognised, and valued during the festive season.
He said: "Having built this organisation from humble beginnings, we fully understand the importance of taking care of those who form the backbone of our success."
He added: "It’s about building a culture that prioritises the wellbeing of our frontline workers and ensures that, in this large organisation, every individual knows they are an integral part of DTDC’s journey."
